About Cambodian Street Food

Cambodian Street Food is a restaurant in Oakland, California. It is listed at 2045 Foothill Blvd, Oakland, CA 94606, which places it among the local businesses of Oakland that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Cambodian Street Food at (510) 842-3134; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is instagram.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 227 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in Oakland and suggests consistent service.

Cambodian Street Food, Oakland I’ve been coming to this location when it was owned by Howard (RIP), it used to be β€œOn Luck” Chinese food. He used to sell Dried Fried Ribs, Shrimp Fried Rice with Lobster Gravy Sauce, the classic Beef and Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork, and so on. When Cambodian Street Food first opened up, they had a quiet grand opening. They wasn’t sure how people would feel about serving Cambodian food in the area. I remembered stopping by after work and the Uncle or brother of the owner would give me a sample of Beef Salawmachu Kreung while I was waiting for my order of Beef Sticks and rice. Both of the entrees were so good, I came back couple days later and ordered their Beef and Prahok Sauce with rice. The portions were huge for the price and enough to share for two people. The aunties (chefs) are so sweet and friendly. I’m so glad to see that they have continued to serve Dried Fried Ribs on their menu! I’ve been coming here ever since! Given the fact that this place is located in the residential area, street parking is limited. This is a β€œTo-Go” place although they have limited seatings outside, the seating area gets filled quick! Of course I de

love to see my culture get so much love, and it’s well deserved here. Drove down from OR and knew I had to stop by. Got Steak and Prahok, garlic noodles and pineapple prawns, and 4 beef sticks. Totaled around $58 with card. They said it was gonna be a 30 min wait and they were right. Everyone there was so nice and could tell they really appreciated all their customers coming by. Community felt strong. Food was sooo good and authentic. That steak and prahok sauce was the star. Workers were also really sweet and gave us a sparkling water just cause! Will definitely come back when I drive back down through the bay. πŸ™πŸΌ

PHONE ORDER AHEAD. I wasn't prepared to wait over an hour for my food and honestly I think there might have been a mistake. BUT with the reviews and willingness of other guests to wait the time suggested by the person taking orders- I had a strong feeling it would be worth it. Just before I went full on Hungry Diva mode I finally received my bag of food... and it was a heavy bag. Look. Don't come here if you are on a tight budget or tight schedule. That said, you get a TON of food fresh and literally piping hot still when I got home. I love that they didn't (couldn't) completely close the takeout containers because the steam would have made the crispy batter soft. I ordered the Pineapple Prawn plate in which you get to pick the side and opted for the Garlic Noodles. Also ordered Dry Beef Ribs. The ribs come battered and 'dry' meaning no sauce covering them. Good by itself but even better with the sweet sour sauce they provide. But the real winner is the delicious and perfectly battered prawns. Tastes great with their fire homemade pineapple sauce on the side. The garlic noodles are SO garlicy and yum. Def want to try more. As always my love for the environment - will remind busines

I ordered the beef sticks, chicken cha-kreung, beef salawmachu, and mama wings. Everything was delicious. The chicken cha-kreung is a flavorful ground chicken dish with hints of lemon, and the beef salawmachu is a sour soup that reminds me of Filipino sinigang. This dish was my favorite. I don’t think you can go wrong with the menu. The wings were extra crispy and unique from other fried wings I’ve tried. I ordered there but in the future I’d order ahead to avoid the waits. But I wanted to ask about the menu and get recommendations. Most people do pickup orders but there are a few seats outside at their outdoor patio.
